Absolutely right, these cars are classics and are so valued now. Even the ‘not so well looked after’ are great fun to do up. The VW camper vans also. One thing that has always stood out for me about the VW beetle and that is the sound of the engine. It is so unique and you can tell straight away its the beetle.
